Activity
Insecticide
Silafluofen is primarily active following ingestion, the product also has some contact activity. It is applied to soil for use as a termiticide and to foliage and soil (in granular formulations) for use as an insecticide. Silafluofen has no knock-down activity and is thus suitable for the control of termites, ants and wasps by baiting. For control of termites, silafluofen forms a long-term barrier.

AgrEvo reported that silafluofen has comparable activity to all commercially available classes of insecticides. The company recommends its use in IPM programmes.
