Activity
Herbicide Safener.Mefenpyr-diethyl is for post-emergence application with fenoxaprop-P-ethyl. The safener acts in two ways, by facilitating rapid detoxification of the herbicide in crop plants (by stimulating the biosynthesis of glutathione) and by facilitating the hydrolysis of the ethyl ester, leaving the herbicidally active fenoxaprop acid.
