Pre-emergence selective herbicide. Affects physiological growth processes associated with seed germination.

Pre-emergence control of many annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds in cotton, fruit trees, nut trees, vines, ornamentals, soya beans, berries, rice, amenity turf and non-crop areas. Applied at 0.24-0.48 kg/ha in rice, 0.72-0.96 kg/ha in cotton, 0.96-2.16 kg/ha in soya beans, and 1.92-4.5 kg/ha in vines, tree crops and non-crop areas.

Ecotoxicology: 
Algae:For Selenastrum capricornutum (7 d), 3.86 /l reduced specific growth rate and terminal biomass by 16.6% and 34.3% respectively.Bees:Low toxicity; 33% formulation had no effect up to 100 in 60% sucrose, but at 1000 , mortality was increased.Birds:Acute oral 50 for mallard ducks, bobwhite quail, and chickens >2000 /.Daphnia:50 2.18 /l.Fish:50 for bluegill sunfish 0.065, rainbow trout 0.081, sheepshead minnow >1.1 /l.Other aquatic spp.:50 (shell deposition) for eastern oyster (Crassostrea variegatus) >1.1 /l; 50 for mysid shrimp (Mysidopsis bahia) 0.043 /l.
