Insecticide.
Chlorethoxyfos is a very low-rate insecticide for application to soil. It controls soil-borne coleopteran and lepidopteran pests. The product can be applied in-furrow or as a T-band. It has vapour activity and does not require soil moisture for effect.
Chlorethoxyfos is suitable for use in no-till agriculture and can be used with herbicides such as nicosulfuron.

Toxicology
Oral:Acute oral LD50 for female rats 1.8, male rats 4.8 mg/kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD50 for female rabbits 12.5, male rabbits 18.5 mg/kg. Moderate eye irritant but highly toxic by eye contact (rabbits). Not a skin irritant (rabbits); not a skin sensitiser (guinea pigs), mild eye irritation. Inhalation:LC50 (4 h) for rats 0.58 ppm (8 mg/m3), extremely toxic by inhalation. (Rabbit): Dermal LD50 >2000 mg/kg. ADI:(JMPR) 0.0005 mg/kg (PTDI) [
