Nileda is founded by Mr Kang Vannak who used to work with IFC-MPDF and SNV, The Netherlands Development Organization. After several years working in grassroots level, he found that poverty is the main problem in rural area of Cambodia. He decided to do something to solve the problem.

 

He created Nileda to be distributor of quality agriculture input including agrochemical, fertilizer, seeds and climate smart equipment. Having good quality products are not enough as farmer knowledge is still poor. To cope with this we deploy agronomists and plant protection specialists to work directly with our dealers and farmers. We need to make sure that farmer know how to use the products in the 4 Rights Principle; Right Product, Right Concentration, Right Time, Right Dose for better yield and safe crops.

Are these enough? Not at all as farmer still challenge with their market. They have their produce but do not know where to sell with profit. Nileda is going to launch a wholesale company which focuses on vegetable and fruit value chain. We will teach farmer to grow their vegetable and fruit and buy from them with contract rate to secure the value of their produces. We will supply those to hotels, restaurants, retail shop, super market and wet market in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

 

We only sell good quality products to farmers as they are so poor already. There is no gap to cheat farmers rather than helping them.
