Sapec Agro launches Montana Supra herbicide in Portugal

The Sapec Group, founded in 1926 and originally created to exploit pyrite mines in the south of Portugal, quickly integrated vertically into the production of phosphate fertilizers using sulfuric acid produced from pyrite ash, and then gradually their production and marketing activities to other factors of production for agriculture. The production and marketing of fertilizers, agrochemicals, seeds and animal feeds have for many years been the main and almost unique basic activities of this Group. Sapec Agro, having taken under its aegis this set of activities linked to agricultural inputs, can therefore be considered as the Group company which has taken over the Group's historical activity.
