Società Chimica Larderello (SCL) is an Italian chemical company that has worked in the boron business for 2 centuries, that is since Francesco Larderel, a French businessman, established the first industrial plant near Montecerboli for the production of borax. SCL is the only European producer in this business and works in a market which is widespread regarding product application as the nuclear, electronic, chemical, pharmaceutical sectors. Thanks to the passion for tradition and attention to the customer satisfaction, SCL sells worldwide distributing in more than 50 countries. SCL produces and markets two principal groups of products: special boric derivates (amongst which the brand names Borowood® Zinborel® and Foliarel®) and special fertilizers (FertiGobal®).
