Nissan Chemical Industries, Ltd. engages in the manufacture and sale of industrial chemicals. The company was founded by Jokichi Takamine, Eiichi Shibusawa, and Takashi Masuda in February 1887 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.  Their discovery research generated herbicide quizalofop-ethyl, acaricide insecticide pyridaben, herbicide pyrazosulfuron-ethyl and herbicide halosulfuron-methyl, in addition, they have fungicide amisulbrom and acaricide cyenopyrafen, which have been commercialized since 2008 and 2009 respectively. Furthermore, they have acquired fungicide thifluzamide from DOW Chemical in 2010 and started marketing globally.
