Astranova Tarim was established in 2006 focusing on crop protection, chemical fertilizer, plant growth regulators, formulation, manufacture, import and export. In 2007, the company established a factory in Tarsus-Mersin Organized Industrial Zone and production started.

In 2008, glyphosate technical ingredient production started and 2.8 million liters of glyphosate was exported to European Union countries. The company was ranked 12th in Mersin of plant protection products export.

In mid 2010, Astranova Tarim started a partnership with Astra Industrial Complex for Fertilizer and Agrochemical Company which is one of the biggest agricultural companies of the Middle East.

In 2010, as a natural consequence of the takeover of the company by ASTRACHEM, the rate of growth and development has increased:
    - ISO certification has been added to the quality management system.      
    - The SAP system has started to be used in production and sales planning.
