Tennessee's AgLaunch announces its 2017 accelerator companies

Ag Innovation Development Group is focused on commercializing early stage agricultural innovation to bring new tools to farmers and near term liquidity event opportunities for their investors. They work in three phases:
1. Discovery, screening, and protection of novel technology
2. Licensing early stage agricultural technology into a new startup company and developing business model and strategy
3. Active role in managing and providing board level support in initial stages leading to funding, growth, and commercialization

Their objective is to launch and grow startups with low regulatory barriers toward a liquidity event within 5-7 years from the company’s inception. Their interests are in technologies that will improve farm efficiency, lower agriculture’s environmental footprint, and assist agriculture in adjusting to new realities based on climate change, population growth, changing consumption patterns, and rapid scientific advancements.
