Plater Bio manufactures novel biostimulants and micronutrients for the agriculture and horticulture industries. All its products are manufactured exclusively on-site in Glossop, North Derbyshire. The company manufactures natural extracts using a unique manufacturing system without the use of synthetic chemicals, heat or pressure. Its range of natural extracts include cold-press seaweed extracts and fungal chitosan.

Plater Bio is pioneering organic acid chelation for next generation micronutrient products. It chelates zinc, manganese and iron, with organic acids to improve their availability to crops and reduce the environmental impact of synthetic chelates.

Plater Bio has developed a revolutionary 'one part' hydroponic fertilizer, which supplies all plant nutrients in one product, thus doing away with the need for 'A' and 'B' products.

Plater Bio exports globally and is currently seeking global distribution partners in key countries for agriculture and horticulture.

Plater Bio's expertise includes:
- Extraction and refinement of bioactive ingredients from plants and algae (seaweeds) and fungi;
- Chelation of micronutrients with organic acids;
- Contract manufacturing of fertilizer raw materials;
- Global and regional regulatory issues; and
- Analysis of fertilizer biostimulant composition/activity. This can include elemental composition, heavy metal analysis, bioassays, compatibility testing with other agrochemicals.
