Toxicology

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for male rats 5816, female rats 1632 mg/ kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rabbits >5000 mg/kg. Mild eye irritant; not a skin irritant (rabbits). Inhalation: LC₅₀ (4 h) for rats >5000 mg/l.

Algae: EC₅₀ (96 h) for Chlorella 19.0 mg/l.Bees: LD₅₀ (contact) >181μg/bee.Birds: LD₅₀ for mallard ducks 1250 mg/kg. Dietary LC₅₀ (8 d) for mallard ducks >4640, bobwhite quail >10 000 ppm.Daphnia: LC₅₀ (48 h) 69.1 mg/l.Fish: LC₅₀ (96 h) for rainbow trout 19.9, bluegill sunfish 28.1 mg/l.
Environmental fate:
Soil:Aerobic soil metabolism: DT₅₀ in sandy loam 2.5-8 w. Four metabolites, each accounting for <11%, were identified, all products of opening of the oxathiin ring; most of the remaining material formed tightly-bound soil residues. WATER SOLUBILITY: 1.0% at 25℃
