Kumiai Chemical to merge with Ihara Chemical

Ihara Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is dedicated “to make a real contribution to a better human society through the creation of new technologies that match human needs with environmental concerns.” The Company has expanded over the years through production and sales activities centered on the development of original technology, and the synthesis of new chemical products.

The Company plays a major role in the fine chemicals industry, in areas such as agricultural chemicals , agricultural- and pharmaceutical-chemical intermediates, pesticides and dyes, and curing agents for polymers, manufacturing and sales of agrochemicals (including insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides) and fine chemicals (including active ingredients and amines for curing agents). Ihara Chemical also contributes to a wide range of other fields.

On May 1, 2017, Ihara Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. merged with Kumiai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. to form a new comprehensive agrochemical manufacturer.
