Crystal Chemical is one of the leading companies in the agrochemical sector in Ecuador. Crystal was the first company to setup a synthesis and formulation plant for propanil in the country, and one of the first to do the last step synthesis of Glyphosate in Latin America.Currently, Crystal does last step synthesis of 4 active ingredients and formulates over 50 different products.
Since 1987, Crystal Chemical manufactures, imports and distributes agricultural inputs, such as herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, adjuvants, foliar fertilizers and seeds for the main crops of the Region. Our leadership is based on the quality, innovation and commitment of the whole team that makes up Crystal Chemical.
It was the first agricultural chemical company in the country to achieve an Integrated Management System certification in 2009 with ISO 9001, ISO 14001and OHSAS 18000. In 2016, Crystal obtained the ISO 17025 certification for its laboratory. Crystal also participates actively in the Responsible Care program. All these certifications and programs make true our motto of "Confidence that grows”, which gives our customers, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders the tools to achieve our goals and theirs, in a socially responsible and sustainable work environment.
Cyrstal Chemical is located in Duran, 5 minutes from Guayaquil, the largest seaport in Ecuador, a strategic location that allows to efficiently attend markets of South and Central America. This strategic location has allowed Crystal to export to 7 different Latin American countries, of which Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Bolivia are the most important.
Crystal has developed, in partnership with Chemical Logistics, an specialized logistic model to assist companies of agricultural inputs and industrial chemicals to manage their logistics operations that require specialized storage and transportation, with an environmental license and ministry of agriculture permits. This inclusive logistic services makes Crystal the strategic partner for companies that project to start or grow their commercial operations in Ecuador and elsewhere in Latin America.
