Toxicology

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for male rats 5816, female rats 1632 mg/ kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rabbits >5000 mg/kg. Mild eye irritant; not a skin irritant (rabbits). Inhalation: LC₅₀ (4 h) for rats >5000 mg/l.

Environmental fate:
Soil:Aerobic soil metabolism: DT₅₀ in sandy loam 2.5-8 w. Four metabolites, each accounting for <11%, were identified, all products of opening of the oxathiin ring; most of the remaining material formed tightly-bound soil residues. WATER SOLUBILITY: 1.0% at 25℃
