Toxicology

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for rats 120 mg/ kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rats 1500 mg/ kg. Inhalation: LC₅₀ (4 h) for female rats 0.7 mg/l. Phytotoxicity:Non-phytotoxic when used at the recommended application rates. At higher application rates, Golden Delicious and other yellow apple varieties have been injured. ADI:( JMPR) 0.0005 mg/ kg b.w. [1996].

Algae:Low toxicity.Birds:Acute oral LD₅₀ for mallard ducks >2150 mg/kg. Dietary LC₅₀ (8 d) for bobwhite quail 2033, mallard ducks 1659 ppm diet.Daphnia: EC₅₀ (48 h) 0.74µg/l.Fish: LC₅₀ (96 h) for rainbow trout 0.63, carp 2.1 mg/l.Worms:Moderately toxic.

Environmental fate:
Animals:Rapidly eliminated, primarily via urine.Soil:Low mobility in soils; strongly adsorbed and rapidly degraded; DT₅₀ c. 1-4 d.Plant:Rapidly degraded via oxidation, cleavage, hydrolysis and dechlorination.
