Activity
Fungicide

Thifluzamide is effective as a foliar, soil or seed treatment to control a wide range of basidiomycete diseases. Control of Rhizoctonia sheath blight in rice is achieved through applications to seedling boxes and the paddy water surface. In peanuts, early season applications of thifluzamide provide season-long suppression of Corticium rolfsii and Rhizoctonia limb rot. In potatoes, thifluzamide controls both the stem canker and black scurf phases of Rhizoctonia solani.

In field trials, thifluzamide gave equal or better disease control than commercial treatments at lower application rates.
