Tritosulfuron is a systemic post-emergence herbicide for the control of broadleaved weeds in maize and wheat. This product acts through the inhibition of acetolactate synthetase (ALS). It has broad spectrum weed control and is reported to have some activity against Galium aparine.

Arrat (tritosulfuron, 25% + dicamba, 50%) is approved in Chile for the control of a broad spectrum of weeds, including those resistant to triazines, in maize and wheat. In maize Arrat is applied at the 3^rd true leaf to 5^th unfolded leaf stage of the crop in combination with an adjuvant such as Dash HC. In wheat, it is applied in combination with Dash HC and metsulfuron to actively growing, small weeds at the 1-4 leaf stage.
