Aqueous solution, dust, powder, liquid, soluble concentrate. Premix Parters: 1,3-dichloropropene; methyl bromide.

Molecular weight:158.1; Physical form:Colourless, extremely hygroscopic crystals, with a weak intrinsic odour; (tech., pale yellow crystals, with a fish-like odour). Usually produced as an aqueous solution. Density at 20°C: 1.14-1.15 g/ml. Composition:96% pure; tech. concentrate 750 g/l. Melting point:235 °C; Vapour pressure:<0.01 mPa (20 °C); Partition coefficient(n-octanol and water):logP = -1.59 (pH 7); Solubility:In water >1 kg/kg (20 °C). In ethanol 320 g/kg (20°C), dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, n-hexane <0.1, acetone 0.2, chloroform 0.3 (all in g/kg, 20 °C).; Stability:Extremely hygroscopic; aqueous solutions are stable. Decomposes at 245 °C.

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for male rats 966, female rats 807 mg/kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rats >4000 mg/kg, rabbits >2000 mg/kg. Not irritating to skin and eyes; not a skin sensitiser. Inhalation:LC₅₀ (4 h) for rats >5.2 mg/l air. CCC*: (Rat): Oral LD₅₀ 1100 mg/kg. Cycocel-Extra* (Rat): LD₅₀ 2836 mg/kg. Dermal: LD₅₀ >5650 mg/kg. Lihocin* (Rat): LD₅₀ 709 mg/kg.

Algae:EC₅₀ (72 h) for Scenedesmus subspicatus >100 mg/l; EC₅₀ (cell volume) for Chlorella fusca 5656 mg/l.Bees:Non-toxic to bees.Birds:Acute oral LD₅₀ for Japanese quail 555, pheasants 261, chickens 920 mg/kg.Daphnia:LC₅₀ (48 h) 16.9 mg/l.Fish:LC₅₀ (96 h) for mirror carp and rainbow trout >100 mg/l.Worms:LC₅₀ (14 d) for Eisenia foetida 320 mg/kg soil.Other aquatic spp.:LC₅₀ (96 h) for fiddler crab 1000, shrimp 804, oysters 67 mg/l. 
Environmental fate: 
Animals:In goats, 97% is eliminated within 24 h, principally unchanged.Soil:In soil, rapidly degraded by microbial activity. It has no influence on soil microflora or fauna. DT₅₀ in 4 soils averaged 32 d at 10 °C; 1 d - 28 d at 22 °C. Low to medium mobility. K_oc 203.Plant:Converted to choline chloride in most plants studied.
