Toxicology

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for male rats 3944 mg/kg, female rats 2465 mg/kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rats >4000 mg/kg (for 42.6% EC formulation). Skin irritant and severe eye irritant (rabbits). Inhalation: LC₅₀ (4 h) for rats 5 mg/l air (for EC formulation). Phytotoxicity:Cinerarias, begonias, and some varieties of rose may be injured.

Bees:Non-toxic to bees.Daphnia: LC₅₀ (48 h) 3.34 mg/l.Fish: LC₅₀ (96 h) for guppies c. 40 mg/l. LC₅₀ ca. 12 mg/l (trout). Bird: Oral LD₅₀ ca. 3000 mg/kg b.w. (quail).
Environmental fate:
Soil: DT₅₀ 73 d. K_oc 4200-48 000, indicating high adsorption and therefore no risk of leaching.
