Activity
Sulfometuron-methyl is a broad-spectrum sulfonylurea herbicide.It kills plants by stopping the division of growing cells, particularly cells in the tips of plant roots. On a molecular level, sulfometuron methyl inhibits the activity of an enzyme called acetolactate synthase (ALS).
