Activity
Bacillus cereus BPO1 is applied to foliage. It acts by increasing the efficiency with which plants take-up and utilise metabolites. The product has no pesticidal activity. It can be applied throughout the growing season on cotton. The exact rate at which it is applied differs with the cotton variety. B cereus will only be used in combination with mepiquat-chloride on this crop (seeW0110.1).

In field trials, B cereus gave higher yields of cotton when used in combination with mepiquat chloride than mepiquat-chloride used alone.
