Environmental fate: 
Animals:In rats, following oral administration of chlorflurenol-methyl, almost complete elimination occurs within 24 hours.Soil:Degrades rapidly in light, air, water and soil; DT50 of chlorflurenol-methyl in soil c. 1.5 d, in water c. 2 d. The main metabolite is the corresponding carboxylic acid; minor metabolites are 2-chloro-8-hydroxyPlant:DT50 of chlorflurenol-methyl on turf c. 2 d.
