Readily soluble in chloroform. Moderately soluble in acetone, acetonitrile, acetophenone and ethanol. Slightly soluble in benzene, toluene and xylene.; Stability:Stable in aqueous solution in acidic conditions.

Toxicology

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for rats >5000, mice >10,000 mg/kg, dogs >2000 mg/kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rats >2000 mg/kg. Non-irritant to eyes and skin (rabbits).

Environmental fate:
Animals:Metabolites include desmethylaminodimefuron, monomethylamino-tert-butylhydroxydimefuron and monomethylaminodimefuron.Soil:Residual activity persists in soil for 3-6 months, following application in late autumn or winter.
