Stability:Both a.i. and tech. showed no significant decomposition after 2-y storage at ambient temperatures. Decomposes above 200 °C. Decomposed by sunlight.

Toxicology

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for rats 3000 mg/kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rabbits >6800 mg/kg. Mild skin and eye irritant (rabbits). Inhalation: LC₅₀ (4 h) for rats >0.16 mg/l air.

Environmental fate:
Animals:Degraded into small, polar fragments.Soil:Strongly adsorbed on soil, with no leaching. Metabolised by soil micro-organisms. In soils, DT₅₀ 10-66 d. Less than 10% remains in most soils 90-120 days after application.Plant:Metabolised rapidly by plants, and extensively degraded into small, polar fragments.
