Physical Properties

Physical form:Fine, blue, precipitated powder, which contains 100% <40-mm particles and 80% <5-mm particles. Solubility:Insoluble in water. Very low solubility (<0.1%) in common solvents such as ketones, ethers, hydrocarbons, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Dissolves in ammonium hydroxide, forming a cuprammonium complex.; Stability:No observed deterioration in packs stored in cool, dry places for periods up to 2 years. Chemically not very reactive, but undergoes change if reacted with strong alkalis or acids. When heated, decomposes to black cupric oxide.;

Toxicology

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for rats >4000 mg/kg (WP formulation). Phytotoxicity:Plum and peach foliage may be injured, especially at low temperatures.
