Toxicology

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs >10 000 mg tech./kg, for mice 8000 mg/kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rats and rabbits >1200 mg/kg. Inhalation: LC₅₀ for rats >0.18 mg/l air. Phytotoxicity:Non-phytotoxic to rice.

Animals:Tiocarbazil, when administered orally at the dose of 1 g/kg, is almost totally eliminated 7 days after treatment, either as such in the faeces or as products deriving from its metabolism, through the urine.
