Environmental fate:
Animals:In rats, ¹⁴C-methabenzthiazuron is rapidly metabolised and the radioactivity excreted in the urine, 97% of the dose being recovered within 48 hours. It is metabolised by a combination of side-chain hydrolysis and ring hydroxylation followed by Soil:In soil, methabenzthiazuron is strongly adsorbed. Duration of residual activity is c. 3 .Plant:In several plant species, similar metabolites were detected.
