ActivityFlufenprox acts rapidly following ingestion and/or contact. The compound can be used as a preventive treatment, residual activity lasting up to four weeks.
Flufenprox is active against leafhoppers resistant to organophosphate and carbamate pesticides. Zeneca intended its use in IPM programmes. In field trials, flufenprox gave equal or better control than reference compounds, sometimes at lower application rates. No phytotoxicity was reported. -
